Rochedale has emerged as one of the hottest new affluent areas in the southern part of Brisbane in recent years. The transit center will connect to Gardner Road in Rochedale's center and will also upgrade pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The transit center is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

Brisbane's highly anticipated light rail project, with a government investment of AUD 944 million, will be built. Metro1 will become a mainline connecting the southern suburbs with the city center, passing major destinations such as Griffith University, Garden City, and the University of Queensland. The route will also provide passengers with opportunities to transfer to other trains, buses, or ferries in the central business district.

In the area, there are renowned private schools like Redeemer Lutheran College (99 points) and Rochedale State School (98 points). Citipointe Private School is just a 10-minute drive away, and Griffith University is only 8 kilometers away.
